The next phase change is imminent for the renovation of Federal Highway 519 in Hofheim. Starting on August 19, construction phase 4 will be prepared and then carried out. This phase is expected to last until early October. The rerouting of traffic will begin on August 19 at around 10 a.m., after the morning rush hour has subsided. With the change in construction phase, the work zone at the roundabout will also shift. The traffic plan calls for a complete closure of “Alte Bleiche” in front of the bus station, between the intersection with Kirschgartenstraße and Seilerbahn.
The connection to Kirschgartenstraße will remain open, while the connections from “Alte Bleiche” to “Am Ambetbrunnen” and to “Seilerbahn” will have to be closed. Buses will still be able to reach the station during this construction phase. The roundabout will be open to traffic in both directions during this time. Vehicles turning left from the Rheingaubrücke can only proceed as far as the junction with “Im Angel.”
Hessen Mobil recommends the following route for drivers coming from Kriftel who wish to reach the Rheingaubrücke and continue on to Marxheim: From Hattersheimer Straße (L 3011), turn right onto Schmelzweg and take Zeilsheimer Straße and Elisabethenstraße back to the roundabout. From there, the Rheingaub Bridge can be reached.
Although Elisabethenstraße is also accessible via Rudolf-Mohr-Straße, Hessen Mobil strongly advises against using this route because traffic on Elisabethenstraße has the right of way. It is not part of the official detour.
Due to the replacement of the power line, the area in Langenhain comprising Katzenlückstraße, Fernblick, Zum Eselshag, andAuwald, including the intersection with Limesstraße, will be completely closed in sections as a moving construction site from August 10, 2026, through October 31, 2026.
Access to and from residents’ properties will be ensured to the greatest extent possible. Residents’ trash cans will be transported—if necessary—by the contractor on the afternoon before collection days to a collection point at the nearest intersection and returned to the properties after collection.
