Sustainability report

With the Sustainability Report 2025, the city is publishing its fourth report on Hofheim's sustainable development. The report was produced in collaboration with Hofheim's Local Agenda 21 (HLA 21).

The aim of the sustainability report is to use a quantitative index to provide a statistically sound approach to overall social developments in the city of Hofheim. The report is set in the context of sustainable urban development and is based on the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations as an overarching guiding objective.

The report shows the areas in which progress has been made and where challenges remain. The sustainable development of the city is presented on the basis of the four sustainability dimensions of ecology, economy, society/social issues and participation. This documents the status of target achievement and makes it transparent.

The targets and target indicators have been continuously developed on the basis of previous reports. This also led to a further development of the content of the Sustainability Report 2025. The report presents the city's development both over time and in a regional and national comparison. At the same time, neither direct recommendations for action nor assessments of the work of the city administration or its specialist departments can be derived from the report.

The sustainability report makes the municipal sustainability development visible, shows possible development potential and presents positive examples from the city of Hofheim that have already been implemented.
