Barbecue area Viehweide
In the county seat of Hofheim am Taunus , there is a public barbecue area at the Viehweide. Reservations can only be made in person at the Citizens’ Office in Hofheim am Taunus City Hall. Reservations cannot be made by phone or email.
To reserve the barbecue area, the following information and documents must be submitted for verification:
- Full name of the user
- Address
- Phone number
- Reason for the reservation, including the number of participants
- Time and date of the reservation request
There are a total of 4 barbecue areas with a combined total of 16 benches and 6 tables. There is ample parking available at all locations. Each barbecue area also has a large trash container that is emptied regularly. Users must bring their own grill and other accessories.
The barbecue area is at least 75 percent booked on weekends (Friday through Sunday) during the summer months. During the week (Monday through Thursday), there are usually still some spots available. It is recommended to make a reservation early during the summer months, especially before the start of school vacations.
Everyone who enjoys barbecuing appreciates it when each group leaves the area as clean as they would like to find it themselves.
Use of the area is free of charge.
Campsite Hofheim
Since 2015, the Hofheim youth campsite on the grounds of the Sportpark-Heide has a new operator: the Circle of Friends and Supporters of the St. Bonifatius Tribe of the DPSG, Hofheim e.V. The campsite is mainly used by Hofheim scouts, but can also be used by other groups on request.
