An offer for citizens of the district town of Hofheim am Taunus
Application for grants in accordance with the guideline for the promotion of rainwater harvesting systems (cisterns) for existing buildings for citizens of the district town of Hofheim am Taunus
The funding guideline for rainwater harvesting systems comes into force on 18.10.2023.
Corresponding funding is available in the municipal budget. The main aim of the funding is to reduce the consumption of high-quality drinking water or replace it with rainwater. Furthermore, the collection of roof surface water relieves the wastewater systems.
On application, the construction of a cistern can be subsidized at a rate of €50 per m³. The maximum subsidy amount is €500.
The allocation is made within the framework of the funds available under budgetary law. If these have been used up, no further funding can be granted for the relevant financial year.
The most important points in brief:
- Funding is available for the initial installation of a cistern in existing buildings. The cistern must have a capacity of at least 3m³.
- Funding must be applied for and approved before construction of the cistern begins.
- The application can only be processed if all the information, including attachments, is complete. Applications are processed in the order in which they are received.
- After approval, construction must be completed within one year.
- The completion of the construction project must be reported to the municipal utilities without being asked, with proof of the total costs. Only then can the funding amount be paid out.
- The funding program is a voluntary service provided by the district town of Hofheim am Taunus. There is no legal entitlement to the grant.
