Schoolyard tour of the Spielmobil
After the summer vacations, the Spielmobil will once again be out and about in the schoolyards of Hofheim's elementary school. All Hofheim children are invited.

The adults are having fun, the children are bored and can no longer sit still - a typical picture at parties of all kinds. Thanks to the municipal play mobile, things can look very different at the next summer party. Clubs, companies and private individuals can hire the attractive play equipment to keep young guests entertained and in a good mood.
Since the beginning of 2015, the Spielmobil's two large double-axle trailers with lots of play equipment have been available to hire for events during the week and at weekends.
- For clubs and associations that offer children and youth work and schools, the rental fee is 78.00 euros per event day.
- For institutions and companies as well as for the citizens of Hofheim, the fee starts at 200 euros per event day.
A vehicle with a trailer coupling designed for a drawbar load of at least 75 kilograms is required to transport the Spielmobil.

The trailer contains the following play equipment: Bouncy castle and blower, two swing carts, two scooters, a gongel gyro, a pedalo, a ball on a string, four sports mats, a roller board with tires, two table legs for air field hockey, an air field hockey table with two sticks, an aluminum box with accessories (cable drum, ten game pucks, two juggling plates, three pylons, two diabolos, five bats, a spare ball for the ball on a string), a penny-farthing, an easel for painting, a hula hoop, a double cab and trailer, a mini air field hockey set and a key and lock for the trailer.
Through play, children experience their environment with all their senses, they gain experience and acquire attitudes, behaviors and knowledge that are essential for coping with a wide variety of life situations. This includes activity, creativity, self-confidence, goal orientation, independence, concentration, cooperation skills, emotionality, social openness and social competence.
Play is a free and self-determined form of learning, a "bridge" to the adult world. The importance of play in the development of an individual personality is hardly disputed nowadays. (Zacharias/Pädagogische Aktion Munich)
To play, children need time, space, materials and, above all, partners. Wherever these prerequisites are not available, the "Hofheimer Tummelkiste" playmobile offers an alternative by opening up play spaces, bringing materials and encouraging children to play together and offering play partners.
The Spielmobil has been an important cooperation partner of all Hofheim elementary school since 2004 and is an important building block for primary school children in Hofheim's educational landscape. The Spielmobil team brings ideas, mobile equipment and large games to the children in the school playgrounds.
Planned and prepared play activities from the following areas are offered:
- Creative-musical area with a focus on music education
- Role play through large group games
- Adventure world through experiential educational activities
- Sensory-cognitive activities to promote movement and perception
- An important part of the educational work at the Spielmobil is the counseling service for children and parents.
Play is always an exploratory and discovering activity that relates to the everyday environment. Playmobiles take up this motivation and offer fields of experience and experimental spaces on various topics in order to make biological, chemical and physical phenomena learnable. The topics range from the sun to earthworms; the play mobile is then called a solar mobile, water mobile, skate mobile or nutrition mobile. The Spielmobil is also primarily a sports and exercise mobile. With its play and sports equipment, the Spielmobil focuses on new and old sports. It complements the traditional club work of the sports associations with high-profile campaigns.
The Spielmobil Tummelkiste opens up play spaces for children

The Spielmobil is free of charge for all Hofheim children. The open offer is given a binding conceptual framework by the joint opening and closing discussions with all playmobile children. The extremely wide variety of games offered by the playmobile is described in detail on the picture pages.
The play mobile trailer can be borrowed by clubs and private individuals. In the past, the play mobile trailer has been borrowed over 150 times at weekends and has thus become an enrichment for many events organized by volunteers in Hofheim.
