Wine culture
"White Riesling" from Hofheim-Diedenbergen
In order to preserve the tradition of wine-growing in Hofheim am Taunus, the municipal vineyard was planted in 1990 for research and demonstration purposes following approval by the wine-growing authority in Eltville. It is planted with around 400 vines of the "Weißer Riesling" grape variety and is located in the Diedenbergen district. The Seidemann family of winegrowers from Hofheim was first commissioned with the cultivation of the vineyard and the vinification and bottling of the wine in 1994.

Wine trail through the municipal vineyard
On September 28, 1997, the "youngest educational wine trail in the Rheingau" was inaugurated along the vineyard, with educational panels designed by the "Diedenbergener Malkreis 1977". Since then, the tradition has been continued: since spring 2024, six revised information boards have accompanied you along the educational trail and show you the individual steps from pruning to harvesting and the history of the vineyard.
