more on the topic of senior citizens
The initiative to set up a senior citizens' assistance fund is a result of the poverty working group of the municipal senior citizens' advisory council, which is concerned with the increasing poverty in old age in society.
The Senior Citizens' Relief Fund is under the umbrella of the Hofheim Community Foundation.
The aim is to help senior citizens in a social emergency quickly, confidentially and as unbureaucratically as possible.
Assistance is available to people aged 60 and over who have their permanent center of life in Hofheim and whose own income is not sufficient to avert the emergency and who are not entitled to statutory social benefits in this situation.
The senior citizens' advice center in the town hall provides support with the application process and offers further advice.
The Seniors' Advisory Council decides together with the city administration whether assistance will be granted.
Application forms are available from the citizens' office of the town of Hofheim and from the senior citizens' advice center. You can also download the form and the information sheet on the Senior Citizens' Assistance Fund at the bottom of this page.
The relief fund is pleased to receive your donation
The Senior Citizens' Relief Fund relies on donations to be able to help. Earmarked donations to the Hofheim Community Foundation for the Senior Citizens' Relief Fund are forwarded directly to the fund.
How about making a donation to the Senior Citizens' Relief Fund for your anniversary or birthday? You will be helping people in need.
Donations can be transferred to the account of the Hofheim Community Foundation at Taunus-Sparkasse using the keyword "Seniorenhilfsfonds".
IBAN: DE70 5125 0000 0001 0008 88
Donations are tax-deductible. The community foundation issues donation receipts for donations over 300.01 euros. Please state your address in the bank transfer. For donations under 300 euros, the bank statement is sufficient for tax recognition.
The individual, psychosocial support enables seriously ill people and people at the end of their lives to die in familiar surroundings and relieves the burden on their relatives and friends. The hospice association also provides advice on living wills, offers bereavement counseling and is involved in the training of volunteer hospice caregivers.
Further information can be obtained directly from the HORIZONTE Hospizverein e.V. in the Kellereigebäude at Burgstraße 28, phone 06192 921714.
The association is an association of people from all generations who give and receive practical help from each other.
The disintegration of extended families and increasing anonymity in the residential environment mean that help is no longer provided within the family or neighborhood as it used to be. This is where the association comes in with its voluntary mediation service.
In cooperation with the Schlocker Foundation, the association also offers a meal service. Volunteer drivers bring the food to the home and also help with opening and chopping if necessary.
In addition to the assistance services, the association runs the municipal senior center with a comprehensive range of educational and leisure activities.
Further information can be obtained directly from SeniorenNachbarschaftsHilfe e.V. in the Kellereigebäude at Burgstraße 28, 06192/966561.
The Seniors' Advisory Council is the elected point of contact for the concerns of senior citizens in Hofheim and represents their interests at parliamentary level. In this role, the Seniors' Advisory Council advises the municipal council and is represented in the committees, as well as in other relevant bodies such as the District Care Conference and the Prevention Council.
