Information on the local courts
The local courts are auxiliary authorities of the judiciary. They are supervised by the local court. They are responsible for the tasks specified by law in the area of voluntary jurisdiction and valuation. They bear the state seal.
The main focus of the local court's activities is:
Certification of signatures and copies
The head of the local court is responsible for publicly certifying signatures. He is also responsible for certifying copies of public or private documents.
Estimates
The local court is responsible for estimating the value of:
1. land,
2. movable property,
3. Uses of a property,
4. Rights to a property,
5. Fruit not yet separated from the land,
6. Damage to a property and to fruit not yet separated from the land,
insofar as the objects are located in its district.
Securing the estate
The head of the local court shall take the measures necessary to secure the estate until acceptance of the inheritance if
1. there is a need to do so,
2. the heirs are unknown or
3. it is uncertain whether the heirs have accepted the inheritance.
Securing measures are generally not necessary if execution of the will has been effectively ordered.
