Welcome to Hofheim am Taunus
The first thing many people notice about Hofheim is its historic old town, with its carefully restored half-timbered homes, street cafes and shops. But Hofheim is also very centrally located in the heart of the Rhein Main region, with excellent transportation connections. Indeed, it takes only minutes to reach the Frankfurt Airport, downtown Frankfurt or the Internationale Schule Frankfurt ISF.
Hofheim also has great recreational assets with a wide range of sport and leisure facilities, such as an 18-hole golf course Hof Hausen and the region’s most modern waterpark, Rhein-Main Therme.
This website is designed to make you more familiar with our city, whether you are planning to visit for a few days or move here. You’ll find information about our town’s history, sights, cultural life, schools, sports activities, clubs, and much more.
Moving can be very stressful, and to help you navigate the “administrative maze” we've instituted the so-called ‘Residents Office’ (Bürger Büro). This is your first stop when dealing with the city of Hofheim on any official matter. There you can make use of over 70 different services in one central location. The opening hours of the Residents Office are designed to suit the tight schedule of working people.
There, you can also pick up a welcome brochure which includes lots of practical information about living in Hofheim as well as discount coupons.
If at any time you need additional information, our Town Council will be happy to assist you. Our goal is to make it easy and pleasant for you to settle-in comfortably in Hofheim am Taunus.
