Marxheim

The town is located at the foot of the Taunus Mountains and was first mentioned in historical documents in 1191. The Marxheim church and tower were first mentioned in 1366, and the Catholic church of St Georg (which was rebuilt between 1943 and 1845) is still an important landmark among the half-timbered homes in the historic old town. The oldest house dates back to the 17th century.

Marxheim is also home to the Sport Park Heide, which is Hofheim's main sports facility, offering two football pitches, tennis courts (indoor and outdoor) as well as a track and field arena with a restaurant.
